The Advisory services division is a recent addition to the Ministry of Agriculture operations. Its responsibilities cover School/Youth agriculture, Livestock/floriculture/forestry, Women and nutrition, and Organic farming/Pa Enua agriculture.
The division will provide guidance and support to all farmers including women groups through:
• agricultural specialist advisory services to improve services to all farmers and growers to increase food production and food security
• the treatment of diseases, worm treatment and general guidance on Animal and Poultry husbandry
With a renewed focus to develop this sector, we envisage new programs established to reconnect our farmers to the Ministry and working together in improving our standards and contributing to growing the agriculture sector.
